Hello. My name is Susan Lopez. I was born in Danville, Kentucky (Go Big Blue!). I have lived in Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, and now Texas. I spent three years in San Antonio, and the rest have been here in the Valley. I am a graduate of Sharyland High School, and graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
This is my 18th year here at John H. Shary. I have only taught kindergarten and first grade. I have always wanted to be a teacher and work with students. I even played school with my friends and would make tests for them to take!
When I'm not working on school things (which I spend the majority of my time doing!), I enjoy reading, traveling, walking around Target, and spending time with my nieces and nephews! My husband is a teacher at McAllen Memorial High School.
I am looking forward to a great school year!
