    Welcome to 5th grade!!

I am a graduate of Sharyland High school Class of 96!!  I got accepted to A&M University on a Pre- Veterinarian scholarship.  I graduated with a double major in Biology and Psychology with a minor in Chemistry.  I worked as a TA for many different science classes during my college career.  Following college I worked with one of my professors at Glady's Porter Zoo doing animal behavior research where we were studying Gorillas and Chimpanzees.  It was amazing! I was published with my professor in a Science Journal.  I was then asked by my ex softball coach to coach the Sharyland Rattler JV Softball team and Freshman Volleyball.  I started working at Sharyland High School teaching Biology and coaching Volleyball and Softball for 5 years.  I then moved to John H Shary Elementary where I have been teaching 4th grade Math and Science and now 5th grade Science and Social Studies.  I am very excited about this coming year and looking forward to working with all my students.  My goal is to make sure that all my students acquire the skills necessary to master 5th grade and prepare them for 6th grade all while having fun!!!!
